Build the future of Canadian payments.
We're a small, senior team based in Toronto, helping thousands of Canadian businesses move money every day. When we hire, we hire carefully — and we hire for the long run.

Open Roles
No open positions right now.
But we're always on the lookout for talented individuals. Please check back later for future opportunities — or join our talent network below and we'll reach out the moment something fits your background.
What you'd actually find here.
We're small enough that your work shows up in the product within weeks — and big enough that you'll never be on call alone.
Small, senior team
No interns making product decisions, no four-tier management ladder. Everyone we hire has shipped real work in their domain — and gets the autonomy to keep doing it.
Real ownership of real work
Your name is on what you build. When something ships, customers know who fixed it. When something breaks, you're the one with the context — and the authority — to fix it.
Customer-first, every day
Every person on the team — engineers, sales, ops — talks to customers regularly. The phone rings here. We answer it. That informs everything we build and how we build it.
Canadian-owned, no VC pressure
We answer to our customers, not to a quarterly investor deck. That means decisions are made on what's right for merchants long-term — not what looks good on the next earnings call.
Five principles, no slogans.
The actual operating habits behind day-to-day work at Great POS.
Get on our radar.
No open roles today doesn't mean no open roles next month. Tell us about yourself — when something opens that fits your background, we'll reach out before we list it publicly.
Talent network members hear first.
Every role we've filled in the last two years started with a name already in our talent network. If you're a good fit when the time comes, you'll hear from us before we post anywhere.

About working here.
Questions we hear most from people considering joining the talent network.
We don't run a hiring calendar — roles open when the work demands it. Historically that's a few times a year, usually concentrated around the start of new product cycles. The fastest way to know is to join the talent network above. Network members get a direct email the day a role goes live, often before it's posted on LinkedIn or job boards.
Most of our hires fall into one of four areas: software engineering (backend, integrations, infrastructure), customer support & success (the team that picks up the phone and goes on-site), sales & account management, and operations / merchant onboarding. We occasionally hire in design, finance, and compliance as well.
Most roles are hybrid based out of Toronto — typically two days a week in our office and the rest from home, but the policy is flexible by team. A few support-team roles are fully on-site (because we go to customer locations together). Fully remote roles are rare but do happen for senior specialist hires.
For senior or specialist roles where the right candidate is hard to find domestically, yes — we'll sponsor LMIAs and walk you through the immigration process. For more general roles, we typically hire candidates with existing Canadian work authorization. If you're unsure where you fall, mention it in your talent network application and we'll let you know.
Usually 3–4 conversations spread over two to three weeks. Step one is a 30-minute intro call with the hiring manager. If there's mutual interest, you'll do a take-home exercise or a working session (we don't do whiteboard algorithm interviews). Then a panel conversation with the team, and a final chat with the CEO. We try to make a decision within five business days of the final round.
Occasionally — usually one or two co-op terms per year in engineering or support, partnered with University of Toronto, Waterloo, or Toronto Metropolitan. We don't run a structured intern program. If you're a student interested in a co-op term, mention it in your talent network application.
Apply anyway. Some of the best people we've hired came from backgrounds we didn't think we needed — a former chef now runs our restaurant-vertical onboarding, a former bank-branch manager handles our largest accounts. If you find Great POS interesting and think you'd add something, that's enough reason to be on the list.
When we hire, we hire from this list.
